IN a statement released today, Moree Plains Shire Council confirmed that, by mutual agreement, general manager Kelvin Tytherleigh’s engagement with Council will finish early in the new year.
“Mr Tytherleigh has been a passionate advocate for our community and a hardworking and dedicated general manager,” mayor Susannah Pearse said in the statement.
“We thank Kelvin for his service to our shire and wish him and his wife, Anne, all the very best for the future.”
Mr Tytherleigh said he has genuinely enjoyed working and living in Moree.
“We have made many lifelong friends. Allowing a new GM to be appointed to coincide with this four-year term of Council will ensure the team can work together for the entire term,” Mr Tytherleigh said.
“I want to particularly thank the mayors and councillors, staff, contractors, and volunteers that all work together to make our community a better place.
“We look forward to returning to Moree for the opening of the pool and the Mungindi Child Care Centre,” he said.
Council will engage an executive recruitment consultant to assist in the selection of the new general manager.
Absolute Gentleman,
Truly respected by everyone he connected with socially and professionally, he will be sadly missed by staff and Councillors alike.
Best of luck to both you and your lovely wife Anne on your next journey.
