THE wheat harvest is in full swing and as part of an inspiring fundraising campaign, Bank Art Museum Moree is asking farmers and growers to donate a tonne of grain – or trailer load – at the weighbridge in the coming weeks.

BAMM has launched the 200-tonne grain campaign to help the critically-acclaimed museum reach targets and deliver programs.

Donations can be made at grain receival weighbridges across north-western New South Wales, with Graincorp a strong supporter of BAMM through the upcoming Garage Barbershop exhibition by award-winning Australian photographer, Joshua Morris.

Museum director Rosie Dennis said a trailer load today helps BAMM inspire tomorrow.

“Growers can simply donate a portion of their grain load to BAMM using the National Grower Registration system, and BAMM will then sell the donated grain,” Ms Dennis said.

“We are asking growers to donate a portion of their load at the silo, for the best cash price using our NGR.

“Growers can also provide BAMM’s NGR number to their grain broker and ask them to find the best price for a few tonnes to support arts and culture in Moree.

“Every tonne donated fuels exhibitions, education and creative experiences for our region,” Ms Dennis said.

Growers and farmers can donate grain through the National Grower Register and grain handlers’ online system by transferring a portion of an entitlement or a specific load to a designated charity account.

This process involves using the NGR system to manage the details and then initiate a transfer through platforms like Loadnet or CropConnect.

Charities often have a specific NGR number or system ID that growers will need to use for the transfer.

The Bank Art Museum Moree NGR number is 15178741.

Ms Dennis said Bank Art Museum Moree has been at the heart of the Moree region for more than three decades – a place where art and the community come together.

“This year alone, BAMM has welcomed thousands of visitors through its doors, delivered nationally significant exhibitions and hosted workshops that have connected local artists with schools to deliver out-of-the-box programs for young people,” Ms Dennis said.

“We want to keep delivering for the community and to do that we need the community’s help.

“As harvest begins, we’re calling on our farmers to help grow the next chapter of creativity by donating to our 200-tonne grain campaign.

“Together, we can ensure BAMM continues to be a place where stories are shared, culture thrives and our region shines,” she said.
