MOREE Secondary College invites the Moree community to a meet-and-greet next Thursday, March 12.

The parent-teacher-student get-together, between 4pm and 5.30pm, gives community members the opportunity to meet the Moree Secondary College team, and chat with teachers and dedicated staff.

Executive principal, Bethany Kelly, said the entire community is invited.

“We are opening our school for the community to come and visit our learning spaces,” Mrs Kelly said.

“All parents, carers and community members are warmly invited to come along to our meet-and-greet.

“Whether you’ve been part of the Moree Secondary College family for years, or are curious to see what’s been happening inside our gates, everyone is welcome,” she said,

“We want the community to know all about the wonderful learning opportunities and educational spaces that are being provided for our local young people.”

Mrs Kelly said the afternoon will also be the ideal time for parents and carers to track children’s learning progress across their different subjects.

“Parents and carers can pick up interim report and discuss their children’s start to the 2026 school year,” she said,

“The relationship between parents, teachers and students is crucial to the success of our young people and we look forward to strengthening the partnership between home and school – this is a fantastic opportunity to build on that partnership.”

In addition to formal reporting, the afternoon serves as a showcase for the college’s evolving facilities.

Visitors will have the chance to tour specialised classrooms and collaborative hubs designed to foster 21st-century skills.

From high-tech integrated learning labs to creative arts spaces, the school is eager to demonstrate how these environments are specifically tailored to meet the needs of modern learners.

Staff members from all faculties will be on hand to answer questions about curriculum pathways, extracurricular offerings, and the diverse support networks available to students. By bringing parents, educators, and the wider Moree community together in one space, the college aims to create a transparent and inclusive dialogue.

“It is an afternoon dedicated not just to academic updates, but to celebrating the vibrant school culture and the shared commitment to seeing every student reach their full potential,” Mrs Kelly said.
