Two established offices previously occupied by Inland Rail are now available at Social Co House, giving businesses and organisations the chance to establish a Moree base without having to start from an empty room.
And businesses interested in the space can try it for a week free of charge before deciding whether it is right for them.
Inland Rail had two private offices at Social Co House, with each able to accommodate up to four people. The offices were used by its regular Moree-based team as well as staff coming into town who needed somewhere to work.
Social Co House director Tyler Macey said the same setup could work for government and project teams, agricultural businesses, contractors, consultants, professional services or organisations expanding into Moree.
The difference, he said, was that the work of establishing an office had already been done.
“You’re ready to roll,” Mr Macey said.
“As soon as you open that door, you can connect to the internet and you’re up and running.
“You’re not waiting for trades to fit the space out, you’re not waiting for the arrival of furniture and all that stuff that you need to originally set up.”
The offices come with furniture, internet and power, while tenants also have access to shared facilities including meeting rooms, boardrooms and kitchen amenities.
For organisations with staff travelling in and out of Moree, the arrangement can also provide additional space when required. Inland Rail, for example, was able to use meeting and boardroom facilities when larger teams were in town.
Longer-term tenants can also make the office their own. Mr Macey said tenants could personalise their space, including displaying their business branding and, subject to returning the office to its original condition at the end of the lease, making changes such as painting.
The premises offer 24-hour tenant access, parking and security cameras, with a cafe located downstairs.
For businesses unsure whether the arrangement will suit them, Mr Macey said they were welcome to test it first.
“You can come in and try it for a week free of charge and just have a little play, see if you like the configuration, if you like the space,” he said.
The offices are at Social Co House, 167-169 Balo Street, Moree.
