DUAL Brazilian jiu-jitsu world champion Roberto Frias – Professor Bob – will be in Moree in October to exclusively teach super-classes for kids and adults.
Brazilian jiu-jitsu, known as BJJ, is a self-defence martial art and combat sport based on grappling, ground fighting and submission holds.
Moree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Club will host Frias at an exclusive seminar at its Moree Showground headquarters on Saturday, October 4, and invites residents from Moree and the surrounding district to attend.
Moree BJJ assistant coach Nick Sabine said having Roberto Frias in Moree was a first for the local club.

Bob Frias, a two-times Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu world champion, will deliver master-classes in Moree on Saturday, October 4.
“This will be the first time Bob has been to Moree and his visit will be great for our little club, as well as other clubs in the region.
“We encourage those club members to attend the seminar and get some hands-on knowledge from one of the best,” Sabine said.
“Whether you’re experienced, or a beginner, this is a rare opportunity to learn from one of the sport’s elite competitors and instructors – Bob’s insights and techniques will elevate your game.”
Frias has more than 20 years’ experience in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and holds multiple championship titles in national and international spheres.
Since 2021, he has been a triple gold Australian national champion, won gold at the Abu Dhabi Combat Club Asia and Oceania Trials, gold at the AJP Grand Slam in Sydney and last year won gold at the Abu Dhabi World Masters Championship.
“The seminar is open to all levels, with limited spots available,” Sabine said.
Children’s classes are $25 each, with adult classes $50 each.
