Moree Riders’ Club ready to resume 2025-2026 season

Oct 16, 2025

THE winter chills are gone and it’s time to oil the chains, dust off the helmets and make sure the tyres are pumped and airtight – Moree Riders’ Club is back in action, with a new-look season ahead.

Club president Steele Sutton said the 2025-2026 season, starting Thursday, October 23, will run for 12 weeks.

“We are doing a shift with our riding season, which will start in October and run through until late March next year,” Sutton said.

Sutton said riders of all ages and abilities are welcome to “come and try” at any stage of the season.

“We encourage new members all the time, and both mountain bikes and BMX bikes are welcome,” he said.

“Helmets are strictly required and the club also has bikes and helmets we can loan out during the season.”

Licenses to take part are also required.

Free, four-week memberships for new riders are available at AusCycling Four-Week Free Trial Membership.

Annual licenses are also available through Auscycling at AusCycling All Discipline Membership.

“There will be plenty of help available on the nights for new registrations,” Sutton said.

Moree Riders’ Club is back in action, with a new-look 2025-2026 season planned.

AusCycling’s four-week free trial is the ideal entry point for new riders.

The short-term license includes insurance cover and a taste of everything cycling has to offer, from social rides to club-level racing across all disciplines.

The all-discipline membership is perfect for cyclists who compete in road and track events and offers the ultimate package for cycling enthusiasts who crave variety and competition across all disciplines.

“The 2025-2026 season will be action-packed and will include skill development, fun challenges, division racing, age racing and the new parent and celebrity challenge,” Sutton said.

The season starts Thursday, October 23 and this year will run each Thursday until November 27.

After the Christmas school holidays, the season will resume on Thursday, February 19 and run until March 26.

Riders are required to sign on at 5.30pm, with one-hour sessions starting at 5.45pm.

“In all, the season will run for 12 weeks, with a break in between over the school holidays,” Sutton said.

“There will be a barbecue and drinks available for purchase on all nights.”
