MEMBER for Coffs Harbour, Gurmesh Singh, has been elected to lead the NSW Nationals, after the shock resignation of Dugald Saunders on Monday.
Mr Singh is the Shadow Minister for Regional Health, Emergency Services and the North Coast.
Member for Tamworth, Kevin Anderson, has been elected deputy leader.
“It is an honour to be elected by my peers to lead the NSW Nationals, alongside Deputy Leader Kevin Anderson,” Mr Singh said.
“Sarah Mitchell will continue to serve in the NSW Nationals leadership team as our leader in the Upper House.
“Our team will continue to represent regional NSW to the very best of our abilities.

Gurmesh Singh, has been elected to lead the NSW Nationals.
“I thank Dugald Saunders for his leadership and guidance over the past two and half years,” he said.
Mr Singh is a third-generation Coffs local, who grew up in a farming family from Woolgoolga and is proud to be living and working on the North Coast.
He attended Woolgoolga Public School and then graduated as Dux from Woolgoolga High School. After studying Industrial Design at UNSW, Mr Singh previously worked as a businessman and farmer with experience in the tourism and marketing industries.
