NSW Farmers’ telecommunications roadshow returns to the north-west

Dec 4, 2025

A series of NSW Farmers’ roadshows will return to the north-west this month to assist the farming community with telecommunication issues, including one at Moree on Wednesday, December 10.

The Moree roadshow will be held at Moree Masonic Hall between 6pm and 8pm.

Roadshows will also be held at Uralla, Mullaley and Loomberah over the coming weeks as part of the initiative hosted by NSW Farmers, with the Regional Tech Hub, Telstra, NBN, CMobile and the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman.

NSW Farmers’ regional services manager, Mick Collins, said the events were designed to address the telecommunications challenges faced across the district.

“Telecommunications continues to be a real challenge in our region, so it’s vital we provide the community with avenues to access information and explore possible solutions to their telecommunications issues,” Mr Collins said.

“Connectivity certainly isn’t at an acceptable level at the moment, but this is a rare opportunity to speak with experts in the telecommunications space.

“I encourage everyone to come along if they can,” he said.

Guest speakers in attendance at the events include Ian George and Michael Marom from Telstra; David Crough from NBN; Regional Tech Hub’s Ellen Day; and Jamie Coleman from CMobile.

NSW Farmers’ regional services manager Mick Collins and the Telecommunications Ombudsman will also speak.

Sessions will be held at Uralla and Loomberah on Tuesday, December 9, and Mullaley and Moree on Wednesday, December 10.
