PETER Burey is thinking about expanding Kenway and Clark’s Moree office space – there’s simply not enough room to display all the company’s awards, trophies and plaques.
Horwood Bagshaw last week proudly awarded its Dealer of the Year title to Kenway and Clark, and recognised the dealership’s outstanding performance, customer support and long‑standing commitment to the Horwood Bagshaw brand.
This latest award sits proudly alongside six Case IH Dealer of the Year awards won in the past 10 years.
“We’re going to need a bigger cabinet,” Mr Burey laughed.
“To win this award is a great team effort. It’s a commitment we make, but it’s also thanks to the support we get from the community and our clients.”
With branches across New South Wales and southern Queensland, Kenway and Clark has been a trusted machinery partner with Horwood Bagshaw for more than 60 years – basically from the day Harold Kenway and Ted Clark nailed up the ‘now open’ sign in 1960.
Mr Burey, Kenway and Clark’s general manager, has been with the company for more than 40 years.
He said Horwood Bagshaw has been part of Kenway and Clark from day one.
“Horwood Bagshaw is an Australian company based in Mannum in South Australia. They make a lot of tillage equipment as well as grader scraper buckets, and we’ve been particularly successful in the grader-scraper market,” Mr Burey said.
“This is the first time we’ve won this award so it’s testament to the fact that the market is growing.”

In 2018, Horwood Bagshaw was acquired by CNH, a leading global manufacturer of agricultural machinery and equipment.
“We’ve been with Horwood Bagshaw for many years, from when they were a privately-owned company,” Mr Burey said.
“It was later sold to CNH and CNH has gone on with that level of products.
“Their laser buckets have been around for years. When you go on to most irrigated farms, if there’s not one Horwood Bagshaw laser bucket on-site, there’s two,” he said.
Kenway and Clark has built a strong reputation for supporting broadacre growers with high‑quality equipment, reliable service, and deep technical expertise.
Dealer principal, Pete McCann, said winning the Horwood Bagshaw Dealer of the Year award was a team effort, with the dealership having strong roots in the Horwood Bagshaw brand.
“We’ve been Horwood Bagshaw dealers for a long time, and it’s a really big part of our business at Kenway and Clark,” Mr McCann said.
“We’re really happy with the performance of our sales team – we wouldn’t be able to do it without them.”

Winners were announced across several categories in late February at the Adelaide Oval in South Australia during CNH’s annual Dealer Conference.
CNH business director of agriculture in Australia and New Zealand, Aaron Bett, congratulated all winners.
He praised the level of excellence achieved and outstanding service delivered.
“We set a high bar when it comes to selecting the winners of these awards so the successful dealerships have to tick a lot of boxes,” Mr Bett said.
