Fuel tracker now live on Goondiwindi Regional Council website

Apr 18, 2026

RESIDENTS and visitors to the Goondiwindi region can now access up-to-date fuel information, thanks to a new feature integrated into Goondiwindi Regional Council’s Disaster Dashboard.

Goondiwindi mayor Lawrence Springborg said the fuel tracker provides live updates on fuel availability and pricing across the region.

“This will help the community plan essential travel and manage costs more effectively,” Cr Springborg said.

The feature utilises data from the Queensland Government’s mandatory Fuel Price Reporting trial, which requires all fuel retailers to report price changes within 30 minutes.

By adding the information directly to the Disaster Dashboard, Council aims to provide a one-stop shop for information.

“The addition is about supporting the community and visitors with transparent, up-to-date data,” Cr Springborg said.

“By integrating this live data from the Queensland Government’s Fuel Prices Queensland service, we are making it easier for everyone to stay informed and make the best decisions for their journey.”

The feature allows users to check which stations are operational before they leave home, and provides indicative pricing to better manage travel expenses.

Goondiwindi Regional Council continues to monitor the local fuel situation and remains guided by the latest advice from State and Federal authorities.

Residents and tourists are encouraged to keep informed by visiting the Goondiwindi Regional Council Disaster Dashboard at Goondiwindi Regional Council Disaster Dashboard and selecting the fuel layer on the interactive map.
