Birth Certificate and Registration Day – Moree

About this event
Families who have not yet registered a child’s birth can get free, face-to-face help at Legal Aid NSW in Moree on Tuesday, 10 November 2026.
The NSW Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages Community Engagement team will be there from 10am to 2pm to answer questions and work through the birth registration process. No appointment is needed — drop in.
You may still be able to register a child’s birth if you are not the child’s parent, are caring for a child through a family arrangement, are a single mother or father, are a grandparent, aunt or uncle, are a parent whose partner has passed away, are a child in an out-of-home care arrangement, or have limited identity documents.
Birth certificates are needed to enrol at school, open a bank account, join a sporting club, and apply for a job, a driver licence or a passport.
