About this event
Residents can learn how the POLAIR Remote drones work and how police are using them at a drop-in session in Moree on Wednesday 11 November.
Superintendent Chris Nicholson from the NSW Police Force Aviation Command and other senior officers will be at Moree Plains Shire Council from 9am to explain the program and answer questions.
Two drones have been based on the roof of Moree Police Station since January 2026 and are flown remotely from a Remote Operations Centre at Bankstown Airport. The trial, the first of its kind in Australia, was extended for another two years in August 2026.
