Services Australia Mobile Service Centre

About this event
Services Australia’s mobile service centre Desert Rose will be in Mungindi on Friday 30 October as part of a tour of New South Wales towns.
The centre is a 20 tonne truck staffed by Services Australia officers. It parks near the Rural Transaction Centre on St George Street and is open from 10am to 2pm.
Officers on board can help with Centrelink claims, payment and services information, updating your details, and confirming documents and supporting information. They also handle myGov services, social work support and referrals, and Medicare enrolments. A self-service terminal is available, and the team carries information about National Disability Insurance Scheme and Department of Veterans’ Affairs services.
Mungindi runs on Queensland time, an hour behind Sydney while daylight saving is in force, so anyone travelling from Moree should check which clock the visit times are on.
This year is the 20th anniversary of the mobile service centre program, which has been connecting regional and rural communities to government services and payments since 2006.
More information on the mobile service centres and their upcoming stops is at servicesaustralia.gov.au/mobileoffice.
