Toomelah Local AECG establishment meeting

A meeting will be held at Toomelah Public School hall on Thursday 29 October 2026 to establish a Toomelah Local AECG, the Aboriginal Education Consultative Group for the community. The meeting starts at 3pm Queensland time and is open to all community members.

The meeting will set up the group’s membership, elect its first office bearers and its delegates to the regional body, and deal with nominations to New South Wales AECG Incorporated.

• Attendance sign on, minute silence and apologies
• President’s report
• Treasurer’s report
• Purpose of the meeting: the establishment of the Toomelah Local AECG
• Membership of Toomelah Local AECG, including full, associate and new members
• Appointment of a returning officer
• Nominations and election of president, vice president, secretary and treasurer
• Election of four delegates to attend the North-West 1 Regional AECG
• Handover of chairing from the returning officer to the elected president
• Nominations for NSW AECG president and vice president
• Nominations for seven director positions on NSW AECG
• Nominations for full and associate life membership of NSW AECG
• General business
• Meeting closed
