About this event
Young Archie 2026 competition
Budding artists between the ages of 5 and 18 are invited to submit a portrait for the Young Archie competition, part of BAMM’s family-focused activities for the Archibald Prize 2026 regional tour.
The portrait should be of a person who is special to you, someone known to you who plays a significant role in your life.
There are four age categories: 5 to 8 years, 9 to 12 years, 13 to 15 years, and 16 to 18 years. One artwork only per entrant, and it must be two-dimensional, on good-quality paper and A3 (420 x 297mm).
The competition is judged by a panel on merit and originality, and one winner is chosen in each category. Each winner receives prizes provided by the Art Gallery of New South Wales.
Entries can be hand delivered or mailed to the Young Archie Competition, Bank Art Museum Moree, 25 Frome Street, Moree NSW 2400, and must be received by Friday 30 October 2026.
