MotoGP team owner and two-time 125cc world champion rider Fausto Gresini has died, after contracting COVID-19.
Gresini became infected late last year although he initially isolated at home before first entering hospital on December 27.
He was transferred to a speciality coronavirus unit on December 30 and had remained in that second hospital, Bolognas Maggiore Carlo Alberto Pizzardi, since then.
