Injemira Beef Genetics has smashed the Australian Hereford bull record, selling a sire for $160,000 at the 50th annual production sale on Tuesday. The record-breaking sire kicked off a highly successful sale with the 95 bulls on offer averaging $12,380. RELATED READING It has taken 35 years for the previous record of $120,000, set by Inverary Dominator D56, to be broken but the pundits had bet on Injermira’s star sire to be the one to do it.
