Victoria’s inquiry follows a NSW report into Crown Resorts’ alleged money laundering and organised crime links

The Victorian government will establish a royal commission into James Packers Crown Resorts Melbourne casino, in the wake of a NSW inquiry which found the company was not suitable to hold a casino licence in that state.
Responsibility for regulating the casino, Crowns largest operation, will also be stripped from the much-criticised Victorian Commission for Gaming and Liquor regulation and handed to a stand-alone body.
