“Magistrate Arms comes to the Moree and Inverell areas with a wealth of knowledge and success in his legal career.
Magistrate Arms began his legal career in 1983 in the then Magistrates Courts Administration unit in the Department of Attorney General and Justice before serving as a clerk at various local courts.
He was appointed as Registrar of Gosford in 1998 where he served until 2017 where he took up private practice, working in both prosecution and defence.
Magistrate Arms was sworn in to the NSW Local Court in February of 2023.
It is expected Magistrate Arms will reside in the Inverell-Moree area during his tenure.
He will be joined by His Honour Acting Magistrate Malcolm MacPherson who has been appointed as a temporary “floating Magistrate” for six months.
