ENQUIRIES are continuing after three people were threatened and an SUV stolen at a Moree motel early Saturday morning.
Officers from New England Police District were called to the motel on Warialda Street responding to reports several people had forced their way into two motel rooms about 4am, Saturday, November 16.
Police were told a 62-year-old woman and a 69-year-old man in one room, and an 83-year-old woman in the next room, were threatened by three people who smashed their doors to gain entry.
Bags were taken from the rooms along with the keys to a SUV, which the alleged intruders drove from the scene.
Details of the stolen vehicle were immediately circulated to police and, about 4.50am, it was seen being driven through the Moree township.
A pursuit was initiated before the SUV was found empty but undamaged in Carbeen Street.
The SUV has been seized for forensic examination as inquiries continue to identify those responsible.
Anyone with information about the incident should call Moree Police or Crime Stoppers.

That was my partner and I and in the car was all our personal belongings. Should anyone find a set of golf clubs, lawn bowls sets, black bag of all our shoes, all my jewellery in a box and so many other possessions, it would be absolutely fantastic for these to be handed in to the police. 🙏
