THE 2025 Moree Show, with more than 150 sponsors digging deep and getting behind the huge event, this year offers plenty to see and do over two days of non-stop entertainment and action.

The Friday-Saturday, April 25-26 Moree Show will feature V8 Trackskill Utes, demolition derby, woodchopping competition and the show-stopping Gill Bros Rodeo on Friday night.

The Trackskill Utes, sponsored this year by Moree Services Club and Whiddon, presents three shows – Friday at 5pm, with two shows on Saturday at 4pm and 7pm.

There is also a chance for members of the public to take a ride in the Trackskill utes, simply by registering names at the secretary’s office any time Saturday.

Six names will be drawn from a hat to win the ultimate Trackskill experience.

For the brave and intrepid, there will be a live snake display, and for the cute and adorable, a family pet show.

Out in the ring, there will be horse and showjumping events, including team penning on Sunday, April 27, as well as the ever-popular yard-dog trials.

The Young Farmers’ Challenge, sponsored by RDO Equipment and McGregor Gourlay and supported by Young Aggies Moree, will be held at 5pm, Saturday.

Sideshow Alley will be just one of many features at this year’s Moree Show.

The Compressed Air Light and Power-sponsored Demolition Derby on Saturday night after the fireworks offers $1000 prize money, with scrutineering from midday Saturday in the north-western corner of the showground.

The Moree Ute Show, sponsored by Moree Motor Enthusiasts Club, Hill Fitzsimmons and Jenlai Bus Service, will also be held on Saturday, with prizes for Best Holden, Best Ford, Best Other, Best BnS, Best Classic, Best Street-Town Car, Best Chicks, Best Feral, Best 4×4 and Best Tradie.

Prizes will be awarded across all categories, with a grand champion cash prize of $500.

Still on four wheels, the Ute Barrel Race – sponsored by Tait Auto Group and Black Truck and Ag, will be held Saturday night, with cash prizes and vouchers to be won.

On two feet, the Tug of War Challenge sponsored by AFF, Agriware and Graincorp offering $1000 prize money, will be held prior to the fireworks on Saturday night.

Mixed teams of eight people are invited to nominate ($80) per team, and each team must have at least two women. The total team weight must not exceed 800kg.

The Moree Show Young Woman competition will again feature this year, with 2024 Moree Show Young Rural Woman Brydi Holmes preparing to pass the pass the crown to either Laura Penfold or Millie Hobday, this year’s entrants.

The Moree Junior Young Woman program gives young girls a great opportunity to build confidence, get involved in the Moree Show and make new friends, with judging to commence at midday, April 25.

The competition has been won in recent years by Brooke Muller (2023), Jessica Towns (2022), Laura Penfold (2021), Emily Ryan (2019), Bronte Marshall (2018) and Kate Lumber (2017).

Sideshow alley, with all the favourites including show bags, dagwood dogs and fairy floss, is expected to be jam-packed and pavilion displays will include photography and cooking, as well as arts and crafts.
