TEN-THOUSAND litres of diesel fuel donated by Boland Petroleum is one of several valuable lots being offered at an online charity auction to raise funds for Gwydir Industries in Moree.

The auction, with tens of thousands of dollars’ worth of donated goods and services, will transfer to an in-person auction at Gather for Gwydir: Empowering the Next Generation Through Opportunity at Tarrawingee Farm, west of Moree, on Friday, August 22.

The event will raise much-needed funds for Gwydir Industries, a vitally important organisation established in Moree more than 60 years ago.

Already, the online auction has created plenty of early-bidder interest.

A raffle is also in progress, with one of the headline prizes being a signed Cronulla Sharks women’s team jersey, featuring Pallamallawa’s own Rhiannon Byers.

The online action offers a diverse range of goods and services donated by Moree businesses.

Gwydir Industries board president, Bill Crawford, said more than 50 businesses and individuals are supporting Gather for Gwydir.

“We are very humbled, and also very excited by this incredible support,” Mr Crawford said.

“Our fundraising auction on the night will be live – and online leading up to the event – as well as silent auctions and a raffle with some amazing prizes worth thousands of dollars.”

Auction items offered at Gwydir Industries Online Auction include:

LOT 1: 2025 HWS Bunker broom attachment. Donated by Heavy Welding Specialists Moree. 2615mm wide, 1680mm deep, 540mm high.

LOT2: New Kubota T2290-48KW ride-on mower (22hp & 48” deck). Petrol, Kawasaki GH739V-3 motor. Donated by WJ Matthews.

LOT 3: Milwaukee chainsaw, blower combo with extra batteries and charger donated by Kenway and Clark. Milwaukee M18FBLG30 18V Li-ion fuel cordless brushless blower and Milwaukee M18FCHS-0 18V Li-ion cordless fuel 406mm (16″) chainsaw.

LOT 4: Contract Picking kindly donated by Ball Group. Irrigated 1m Cotton Picking (200ha). 80km radius of Moree. 2023 CP770 1-2 pickers available pending job; grappled and staged; yield mapping; wrap provided by owner.

LOT 5: Contract planting kindly donated by Ball Group. Irrigated or dryland winter or summer planting (200ha). 80km radius of Moree. JD 8R X 410 2m track centres with 1500ltr liquid tank. Any additional area planted over and above 200ha, a further 10 per cent of the planted area will be donated back to Gwydir Industries. Summer Planting: Boss 12m stackfold vacuum using precision seeding system and downforce technology, 1m multiples dryland or irrigation; plant sorghum, sunflowers, or cotton. Winter Planting: Boss 12m TX65 shank planter and Boss seed cart 333mm row spacing; plant wheat barley or chicks.

LOT 6: Carton of Cube Rolls meat pack donated by BJA Stock and Station Agents.

LOT 7: 10,000L of diesel donated by Boland Petroleum.
