Jule Jarner Studio celebrating first year with free event

Jan 23, 2026

ONE year of creativity, community and colour at Jule Jarner Studio in Moree will be celebrated next month at Social Co House on Balo Street.

The free community event on Saturday, February 7 at 5.30pm includes the launch of Jule Jarner’s exhibition How You Choose to See It at Social SEEN Gallery.

“The night marks one year since opening the doors to the gallery, founded by locals Jules and Jacson Warner.

“It was a year shaped by creativity, connection and community,” Jules Warner said.

“We invite the community to join us and celebrate one full year of creativity, community and colour.” Over the past 12 months, the studio has grown into a vibrant creative hub, hosting art classes for all ages, community workshops, youth programs, private events, pop-up exhibitions and hands-on arts experiences that bring people together through creativity.

From tote and sip nights to family workshops and nurturing the next generation of young artists, the studio has become a space where imagination is encouraged, confidence is built and art truly feels accessible to everyone.

To mark the milestone, Jule Jarner will host a gallery event featuring a new exhibition, How You Choose to See It.

“This exhibition explores how perspective shapes the way we experience the everyday, inviting viewers to pause, reflect and notice the hidden beauty, rhythm and emotion in ordinary moments,” Jules said.

The evening will include live music, cocktails, pizzas, a lucky door prize, an exhibition viewing and the opportunity to meet the artist.

“It will be a relaxed and creative night celebrating the people who have supported the studio, the community it has grown around and the exciting journey ahead,” Jules said.

“Everyone is welcome to join us, whether you have been with us since the beginning or you are visiting for the first time. Come celebrate one incredible year and the start of many more.”

Over the past 12months, the studio welcomed more than 1000 people through the doors across four big terms of programs, workshops, exhibitions and events.

“It was a joy to share this space and watch it come to life through the people who filled it with ideas, stories and creativity,” Jules said.

Throughout the year, a wide and vibrant range of creative projects were delivered.

These included Creating Space in partnership with Chiropractic Life Moree, Creating Space for Recovery through RICOCHET, and Murals for Our Youth projects with Moree Plains Shire Council and Narrabri Shire Council.

New skills were explored through LED Lighting workshops with Col Art Glass, the River Country Exhibition was presented in collaboration with The CAD Factory and the National Art Museum of Canberra, and artists and audiences were welcomed to the studio through Life Drawing sessions with Nicci Fitzgerald.

“Alongside these projects, our much-loved regular programs shaped the rhythm and energy of the studio,” Jules said.

Walk-In Wednesdays, Creative Minds After School, Schoolyard Studio, Creating Space Teens, Creative Beginnings with Leontine, Moree Home Art Schoolers, The Social Soundcheck and Social SEEN Gallery in collaboration with Social Co House all played a vital role throughout the year.

“Woven through everything were moments of laughter, experimentation, connection and brave creative steps,” Jules said.

We are deeply grateful to every artist, participant, facilitator, partner and supporter who made this first year what it was.

“Growing this space alongside such a supportive and creative community was an honour, and we are proud to be a part of so many stories, ideas and shared experiences,” she said.

Jule Jarner supports creative, community-driven projects in Moree.

“We work with artists, community groups, businesses and individuals to turn ideas into action – whether that’s a mural, music night, workshop, or something completely new,” Jules said.

“Some of what we do meets a real community need. Some of it is purely for fun. Either way, we aim to build connection, creativity and local pride.

“As Moree grows, so does the need for support. We know many people have great ideas but limited time or resources to make them happen.

“Jule Jarner steps in to help, offering creative input, practical help, and a way to get things off the ground,” she said.
