ASHTON’S Great Australian Circus will light up Moree for three days from May 8 with a brand-new production chock-full of dazzling acrobatics, thrilling motorbike stunts, mind-bending contortions and envelope-pushing archery acts you won’t see anywhere else in Australia.

The Big Top returns to Moree from Friday, May 8 to Sunday, May 10 at Moree Showground, with tickets available HERE.

Ashton’s will present four shows – a 7pm performance on Friday, May 8; 2.30pm and 6pm performances on Saturday, May 9; and an 11am matinee performance on Sunday, May 10.

For three unmissable days, patrons from across the Moree Plains can join Australia’s most famous circus family under the iconic red and white big top and witness 176 years of circus charm with a modern twist.

Moree will be one of the first towns across New South Wales to witness three new and exclusive acts – breathtaking perch balancing, a daring deconstructed bike performance and precision archery.

These acts will be showcased alongside aerial artistry, acrobatics, comedy, and motorbike stunts by the Amaral Globe Riders that have made the Ashton family a national treasure.

Now, sixth-generation performer and managing director, Chantel Ashton-Rodriguez, is pulling out all stops to keep that legacy alive through modern challenges like soaring fuel costs, all while raising her young family on the road.

“It can be challenging at times,” Chantel said.

“We are basically moving a village on wheels from town to town each week, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world.

“I am proud of my family’s legacy, the contemporary twists we are always adding to the show, and the joy our performers bring Aussies across the country,” she said.

Established in 1850, the Ashton family circus has dazzled audiences across the country, surviving two world wars, the Great Depression and generations of change through sheer talent, creativity and circus charm.

With tickets starting from just $15, Ashton Entertainment will offer an affordable, unforgettable experience to Moree that blends history, heart and high-flying thrills.
