MOREE Christian School will on Wednesday, May 6, welcome prospective 2027 Kindergarten children and their parents and carers to the school for an information afternoon.
The one-hour session, scheduled for 3.30pm, will brief parents and carers about their children’s first year at Moree Christian School.
Acting principal Emily Cobb said kindergarten is an important step – the very first of a child’s formal learning and education journey.
“At Moree Christian School, we desire students to transition to school in a nurturing, caring setting where they are welcomed to the beautiful learning community we have,” Mrs Cobb said.
“During the afternoon we will talk through the education program at Moree Christian School, provide tips on helping children be ready for school, take a school tour and answer questions.

“Our prospective little kindergarten friends will enjoy hands-on activities in the kindy room while the parents hear about what makes Moree Christian School academically rigorous and caring for the whole child.
“We will finish with afternoon tea, where parents can meet each other and further questions can be answered,” she said.
Mrs Cobb said Moree Christian School with see its first cohort of Year 12 students graduate later this year.
“This means there is now a local option where a child can have one school the whole way through. This brings stability and security to students, with them feeling valued from the first day of schooling until their last day.”
Mrs Cobb said the one-school, kindergarten to Year 12 journey also provides an opportunity to keep local kids, local.
“Students learn they are created in the image of God – valuably and wonderfully made – and their learning is about unlocking the way God has created them, with unique gifts and interests that can be discovered and developed,” she said.
