Moree Town and Country Club receives $25,000 accessibility upgrade funding

May 19, 2026

THE Moree Town and Country Club is an important part of the community, where locals come together to celebrate, commiserate and catch-up.

The venue will receive important accessibility upgrades, thanks to $25,000 secured through the Community Building Partnership program by Member for Northern Tablelands Brendan Moylan.

“The Moree Town and Country Club has long been a place for locals to stay connected but areas of the venue can be difficult to access for our older and disabled community members,” Mr Moylan said.

“The works being undertaken to the current facilities will greatly improve accessibility and modernise the venue, further enhancing the club’s welcoming atmosphere.

“I am very pleased they will receive a much-needed facelift thanks to funding that has been secured from the Community Building Partnership program.”

Member for Northern Tablelands Brendan Moylan and Moree Town and Country Club president Gail Goldman. The club will undergo upgrades thanks to $25,000 from the Community Building Partnership program.

Moree Town and Country Club president Gail Goldman welcomed the funding and said it will allow the facility to continue to hold functions the community has come to know and love.

“The Town and Country Club has a long history of holding wonderful functions, lunches, meetings, mother’s groups and more throughout the years but it can be hard for older people in our community to get around the venue,” Ms Goldman said.

“By renovating, adding handrails and other accessibility equipment, the club can continue to provide a venue for all groups, events and general gatherings.

“The works are currently underway, and we look forward to seeing the finished product.”
