A man has died in a single-vehicle crash on the Elcombe Road between Gravesend and Bingara last night.
At about 11.25pm yesterday, emergency services were called to the Elcombe Road, Bangheet, approximately 60kms south-west of Warialda, following reports of a crash.
Officers attached to New England Police District attended and found a vehicle had left the road and rolled.
The driver – a man believed to be aged in his 70s – died at the scene.
He is yet to be formally identified.
Police established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
The fatal accident follows the death of man after a motorcycle crash near Uralla earlier this week.
At about 12.30pm on Monday, May 18, emergency services were called to Thunderbolts Way, Uralla, following reports a motorcycle had left the road and crashed.
Bystanders commenced first aid on the rider – a 70-year-old man – before he was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics.
However, he died at the scene.
Officers attached to New England Police District established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the incident.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
Inquiries are ongoing.
