MOREE primary school teacher Bronte King and local veterinarian Charlie Bunce have been recognised in NSW Parliament by Member for Northern Tablelands Brendan Moylan.
Charlie Bunce this month retired from the veterinary clinic he established nearly 50 years ago and Bronte King’s extra-curricular activities include an expanding social media presence through her Teach with Bronte Instagram page and Learn with Bronte YouTube channel.
Bronte King has amassed more than 50,000 followers, with her posts including educational songs and actions, sight words, creative learning activities and affordable resources that help make learning fun, engaging and accessible.
Mr Moylan commended Bronte for building a positive community that inspires and supports others.
“I recognise Bronte King for her outstanding contribution to education through the creation of her social media pages,” Mr Moylan said.

“Through her platforms, both on Instagram and YouTube, Bronte shares a glimpse into activities and learning experiences taking place in her classroom, engaging parents, students and teachers from across Australia.
“I congratulate Bronte for generously sharing practical teaching ideas, learning resources and classroom strategies that can be easily implemented at home or in schools,” he said.
“By sharing her knowledge and experience, she provides valuable support to families and fellow educators.
“Bronte’s creativity, passion and commitment to education have resonated with thousands of people and helped showcase innovative teaching ideas to a broad audience.
“Bronte is making a meaningful difference inside and outside the classroom, and her success is a credit to her education and enthusiasm for helping children learn and thrive,” Mr Moylan said.

Moree veterinarian Charlie Bunce has called time after nearly 50 years in practice in Moree.
Charlie Bunce opened Gwydir Veterinary Clinic on the Mungindi Road in 1978, later renaming the clinic Moree Veterinary Hospital and relocating to Heber Street.
“I recognise the achievements of Moree veterinarian Charlie Bunce on racking up an outstanding 50-odd years in practice,” Mr Moylan said.
“Fast forward to 2026 and Charlie is still providing excellence in care to our pets, horses and livestock, servicing the Moree Plains and surrounding districts.
“I congratulate Charlie on this outstanding milestone and on his dedication to his community, as being a country vet comes hand-in-hand with mileage and long hours, all year round, such has been Charlie’s dedication and devotion to animals and to the people of our community,” he said.
“Charlie has been boss, colleague, friend and mentor to many who have benefited from his knowledge and expertise. I commend Charlie on his many achievements, which also includes his generous community spirit, being involved with rotary, Moree Pony Club, serving on the board of Fairview and Whiddon Retirement Village, as well as being very involved in racing, both as an owner and serving on the Moree Race Club committee.
“Charlie’s strong connection to our local community and his enduring legacy as our local vet, will always remain.
