Logan Baxter won the Kamilaroi K on Friday night. By late Saturday morning, he had added the half marathon, 10km, 5km and IVM Triple titles to his Run the Plains results.
It was a demanding Saturday schedule. The McGregor Gourlay Half Marathon began at 7am, the B&W Rural 10km at 9am and the Grove Juice 5km at 10am. Baxter won all three, recording 1:16:49, 36:35 and 17:15. His combined Triple time was 2:10:40.
Lachlan Cameron chased him home in both the half marathon and 10km, finishing second in 1:22:28 and 39:51. Nick Wadsworth took third in the half marathon before finishing second in the Triple. Zeb Chapman was third in the Triple, which had 13 finishers.
Abbey O’Neill led the women in both the half marathon and the Triple. She completed the half marathon in 1:40:56 and the three-race challenge in 3:22:19. Lauren Kregor was the fastest woman in the 10km at 42:32, while Digby Adams led the juniors in 43:28.

Photo: Moree Online News.e shorter races in Balo Street. Evie Hancock was first across the line in the Waringa Aviation Kiddos Dash in 40 seconds. Adeline Mitchell and Helena Rosy Sepamaee followed in 42 seconds, and Louie Copeman was the first boy in 43 seconds.
Harry Carter led the S&L Girard Community K in 4:13. Blake Young was second overall in 4:21, followed by Hunter Andrews in 4:30.
The Kamilaroi K brought runners out in age groups later that evening. Baxter recorded the fastest time, 2:49, ahead of Flynn Matthews at 2:57 and Wadsworth at 2:59.
Marley Legg and Bella Boland were separated by just one second in that race. Legg was the first girl in 3:12, with Boland next in 3:13. They carried that contest into Saturday’s 5km, where Legg finished third overall and first female in 19:05. Boland followed as the second female finisher in 19:30.
They met again in the C&W 3km. This time the published results gave Boland first female place and Legg second, though both recorded 12:19. Jake Ewart won the race in 12:04, three seconds ahead of Thomas Murphy, with Lachlan Bowhay third in 12:09.
The 3km had 235 recorded results, the largest field on the results site. Across the weekend, the racing stretched from the Kiddos Dash to the half marathon, with Baxter’s three Saturday wins providing its standout result.
