Loded Strength & Conditioning a good Fit for Moree

Jan 18, 2025

IT all came about in 2020, and now health and fitness centre, Loded Strength & Conditioning –  incorporating CrossFit 2400 – is the go-to venue for Moree residents and visitors to town.

Owned and managed by fitness gurus Trent Loder and Ashleigh Berger, Loded Strength & Conditioning came into being when Trent and Ashleigh purchased GTK CrossFit about four years ago.

“We were both GTK members and Trent was a coach from 2014,” Ashleigh said.

“From the moment we began training at GTK we quickly grew to love the CrossFit methodology and community that came with the training.

“When we purchased the business, we relocated to 57 Greenbah Road and re-branded to Loded Strength & Conditioning – CrossFit 2400.

“CrossFit, for us, has always been the pinnacle training method for well-rounded health and fitness. At its core is functional training that directly correlates with everyday life,” Ashleigh said.

Trent, a trained myotherapist, offers specialist treatment from the facility as well.

“Loded Muscle Therapy offers a holistic approach to recovery by using full body massage as well as working on releasing trigger points,” Trent explained.

“It is best defined as manipulation of the body’s soft tissue, using a unique combination of acupressure and massage techniques that put length and function back in to muscles as well as balance in to the body.”

Trent’s therapy techniques include understanding how different muscles in the body are connected and how problems in one area can refer pain to a totally different area.

His combined knowledge of massage therapy and exercise forms the basis of a more holistic approach to a problem.

He said the functionality of CrossFit drastically improves an individual’s mobility, strength and endurance, making it applicable to everyday activities, while also building elite athletes.

“The work-outs are constantly varied, meaning members are always challenging their bodies in new ways,” Trent said.

“One of the defining aspects of CrossFit is the strong sense of community. This in itself can drive long-term success as everyone there has one common goal – to improve overall fitness and health.

“This can be collectively achieved, which builds strong camaraderie among members,” he said.

Ashleigh said there is no age restriction at Loded Strength, either, with members ranging in age from toddler years to those in their 80s.

“It is completely scalable to an individual’s needs and abilities – that’s the beauty of CrossFit,” she said.

“We have individuals as young as three – our CrossFit kids – to 83.

“Their individual needs vary by degree not kind, which means any work-out programmed for that day can be scaled according to the level or ability of that member,” she said.

CrossFit coaches are trained and experienced and offer exercise alternatives to work around current fitness capabilities, while still offering the same work-out stimulus.

“In short, we can cater for someone who wants to become one of the fittest on earth, to helping grandma or grandpa walk more comfortably up the stairs,” Ashleigh smiled.

Varied training sessions are held Monday to Saturday from 6am until around 7.15pm.

Loded Strength & Conditioning also offers 30 different session times per week.

“Our sessions run for up to 60 minutes and are fully programmed and coach-led from start to finish, through warm-ups, stretching and workouts,” Ashleigh said.

“All members have access to our app, which enables them to see the schedule for that day, check the work-out, and book in their session.”

The app also enables members to access and log results, giving them measurable data to track progress over the course of their fitness journey.

“Some of our members have data dating back through 11 years of progress and accomplishments,” Ashleigh said.

Trent and Ashleigh both agree a daily exercise program is very important to the average person.

“Not only is it amazing for physical health but also mental health, longevity, and energy and productivity,” Ashleigh said.

She said strength training not only improves muscles, but also creates stronger bones.

“This means it’s especially important for older individuals both for overall health and also preventative measures with fall risks,” Ashleigh said.

She said strength training is also important for individuals with a particular niche sport.

“Incorporating strength training drastically decreases the risk of injury and we offer the total package at Loded – from strength training to overall capacity training.”

Ashleigh said 2025 offers a host of new opportunities for current and new members.

“We’ve built a strong CrossFit community over the years and we hope to continue well into the future,” she said.

“We are trying to reach as many individuals as we can, to ensure they know there is something else out there that brings with it fitness, health and a strong sense of belonging.

“We will continue to encourage and welcome new members to our space, and share the experience that group training offers,” she said.

Trent and Ashleigh this year will also expand facilities and resources.

“We hope to grow our recovery area, which already contains a sauna, pneumatic leg pump and other various recovery items – we can’t wait to see it all happen,” Ashleigh said.
