Moree Cup weekend will reach the racetrack on Sunday, September 6, with eight races and a full afternoon of activity planned for the Agristorage & Logistics Moree Cup Race Day.
Gates at Moree Racecourse will open at midday, with the program combining racing with Fashions on the Field, children’s activities and trackside hospitality.
Adult general admission is $15, plus booking fee, while children aged 17 and under can enter free when accompanied by a responsible adult.
The Cup will close a three-day program that begins with the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Charity Ball on Friday night before moving to the Vallad Advisors Charity Golf Day and Moree Cup Calcutta on Saturday.
The main aim across Moree Cup weekend is to raise funds for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service.
Eight races on Cup Day
Sunday’s program will feature eight races at Moree Racecourse, with the Moree Cup providing the centrepiece of the meeting.
The race day also falls on Father’s Day, giving families another reason to make a day of the annual meeting.
Away from the track, Fashions on the Field and children’s activities will be part of the program, while a trackside marquee will provide another option for racegoers.
Grazing hampers can also be pre-ordered for the meeting, with small and large options available.
Small gourmet charcuterie hampers are $70 and large hampers are $130, with a selection of cheeses, charcuterie, fruit, olives, relishes, dip and crackers.
Gourmet picnic hampers are available at the same prices, with a mix of hot and cold food including Turkish rolls, mini quiches and sausage rolls, finger sandwiches and desserts.
Getting to the races
A courtesy bus will operate to and from the race meeting.
