Moree Plains community, sporting and educational groups have until 5pm Friday, September 11 to apply for up to $3,000 through Moree Plains Shire Council’s current Public Donations round.
The July-September 2026 round provides financial assistance for eligible events, functions and sponsorship, with applications considered by Council at a council meeting each quarter.
Council has $10,000 available through the program each quarter, with individual applications capped at $3,000.
Groups seeking assistance must complete Council’s Public Donations Application Form before the deadline.
Recent recipients of Council donations have included Little Wings, the Moree Caledonian Pipes and Drums Band, the Moree Motor Enthusiasts Club, the Seniors Week Committee and Mungindi Show Society.
The current Public Donations round is separate from Council’s Community Enhancement Fund, which is a different grants program.
