Mungindi Municipal Pool will remain closed for another week, with its reopening now scheduled for Monday, October 5.
The pool had been expected to reopen on Monday, September 28 after a three-week closure caused by staffing constraints and scheduled staff leave.
Moree Plains Shire Council said the extended closure was due to a recalibration issue with the pool pumps and dosing system.
Council has arranged for a technician to complete the work next week and said it understood the community’s frustration.
The latest delay means the pool will have been closed for about four weeks by the time it reopens.
Council thanked the Mungindi community for its patience while the work is completed.
