Moree Plains Shire Council has replaced its waste and recycling app, with residents asked to download LoopedIn Councils for bin reminders and waste service updates.

Residents who use the old Moree Council – Waste Services app are being encouraged to delete it and install the free replacement.

The new app, called LoopedIn Councils, is available through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Once downloaded, users need to select Moree Plains Shire Council during setup.

The app provides reminders about which bins to put out and when, along with alerts about changes to collection services.

Residents can also use it to report missed collections, damaged or stolen bins, check transfer station and landfill updates, and access information about bulky waste collections and bookings.

An A to Z recycling guide helps households work out what can and cannot go into each bin.

Council’s Waste Manager James Maxwell said the reminders were particularly useful for busy households juggling work, children’s sport and everyday commitments.

He said the app had already proved popular with residents wanting to avoid checking which bins their neighbours had put out.

How to get the new app

  1. Download the free LoopedIn Councils app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
  2. Select Moree Plains Shire Council during setup.
  3. Delete the old Moree Council waste app if it is still installed.

The new app is available for both iPhone and Android devices.
