CONTINUING its quest to keep the Moree community vibrant, connected, and full of fun, next month Moree on a Plate will host a Sunset Soiree in the gardens of Moree and District Historical Society’s Moree Plains Museum.
The committee has a delightful spring evening planned on Saturday, October 26, indulging in an afternoon of canapés, sparkling beverages, a scrumptious fork box meal prepared by the fantastic team at Relish Catering Narrabri, and live entertainment by up-and-coming talent, Saxappeal.
Committee member, Ros Van Dongen, said this year’s Sunset Soiree event was an alternative to the traditional Moree on a Plate Long Lunch, and that the committee was always looking for new ways to keep the community entertained.
“Our Long Lunch is always a great success, so this year we thought we’d mix things up a bit and try a new format,” Ros said.
“We do know how much people love, and look forward to, the Long Lunch, and we’re thrilled to offer something a bit different this year.”

Ros said the committee was excited to be delivering a relaxed, social evening out with the beautiful former Lands Office as the backdrop.
“For those not in the throes of harvest, it will be an event everyone can enjoy – the blokes included – and Relish catering never disappoints.”
Tickets to the event, which will be held from 4pm to 9pm, are $110 each, which includes a complimentary Mimosa thanks to the generosity of Grove Juice, and are available online from noon, September 27 at https://www.trybooking.com/events/landing/1296723
