Bundarra Showground boosted by $368,866 grant

Jan 24, 2025

THE annual Bundarra Show is on Saturday-Sunday, February 1-2, and attendees will notice a fresh look thanks to a $368,866 grant used to put the finishing touches on the showground’s new facilities.

The showground has undergone numerous renovations in the last four years and the latest grant from the NSW Government’s Crown Reserve Improvement Fund ensured the final improvements can be made.

Member for Northern Tablelands Brendan Moylan was on-hand to inspect the new facilities and congratulated the Showground Trust on the upgrades.

“Well done to the Trustees of the Bundarra Showground for their dedication and commitment to getting the facilities back up to scratch,” Mr Moylan said.

“Our showgrounds play an important role in our community, whether it is for annual shows or for hosting community groups and various activities.

“It is great to see Bundarra’s showground brought back to life and I am sure they will be enjoyed for years to come.”

The first renovations began four years ago but due to rising costs and difficulties in planning the upgrades to the historical buildings, they were unable to be completed until the latest funding came through.

Chairman of the Bundarra Showground Trust, Max Fitzgerald, said the upgrades would be a huge benefit to the whole community.

“It is a huge benefit for everyone that uses the showground; for the community, the user groups,” Mr Fitzgerald said.

“Since it was built, we got another user group interested in hosting their events at the showground.

“I think it will just get better and better.”

The annual Bundarra Show next month will see the completed renovations in action.
