ANZAC Day will be commemorated across the Moree Plains Shire on Friday, April 25.
Moree Dawn Service: Memorial Window, Moree Services Club
At 6am a dawn service will take place at the Memorial Window and breakfast will be provided at 7am.
Moree Max Wales Memorial Park
A service will start at 9am at the Max Wales Memorial Park on the western side of the Moree Services Club.
Moree Memorial Hall
At 9.30am, a parade will assemble on Balo Street, between the Albert Street roundabout and Woolworths.
During the march, a salute will take place in front of the RSL Museum – next to the Dhiiyaan Centre in the former Moree town library building – on the way to the Memorial Hall.
The main ceremony will take place at 10am at the Moree War Memorial Hall and will be followed by morning tea.
Moree RSL Regional Military Museum Open Anzac Day
The Moree RSL Regional Military Museum will host an open day from 1pm until 5pm.
Mungindi
A dawn service will be held at 5.45am at the front of Mungindi Community Store.
The service will be followed by a free barbecue breakfast.
For the day ceremony, a march will begin at 10.30am at the RSL cenotaph.
The march will start and finish in front of the Mungindi Community Store and followed by a commemoration service.
Pallamallawa
Meeting at Pallamallawa War Memorial Hall for the dawn service at 5.30am followed by breakfast, tea and coffee.
Boomi
A march will commence at 10.45am at the old Post Office and is followed by a service at the Boomi Memorial Hall.
Lunch will be at the Pioneer Hotel, with locals encouraged to bring along a plate of finger food to share.
Garah
At 9.30am, a march will start at the Country Women’s Association Hall and will head to the Garah Public Hall for wreath laying. Morning tea will follow at 10am at the hall.
Crooble
A service will take place at the Crooble Memorial Hall at 8.30am and will be followed by morning tea.
Toomelah/Boggabilla
Dawn Service held at the Toomelah War Memorial, Toomelah (Turn right just over the Toomelah bridge). The service will begin promptly at 6am.
Council services and facilities operating hours
Unless otherwise noted below, Council’s services and facilities, including the Moree Customer Service Centre, will operate as normal until 5pm Thursday, April 24.
Services and facilities will recommence as usual from Monday, April 28.

Please be advised kerbside garbage, recycling and organics collections will be as normal.
Landfills
Moree, Mungindi, Boggabilla, Gurley and Terry Hie Hie Landfills are closed.

Moree Artesian Aquatic Centre
Open 1pm to 6pm on Anzac Day.
Bank Art Museum Moree (BAMM) closed.
Gwydir Day Care and Preschool closed.
Moree Community Library closed.
Dhiiyaan Aboriginal Centre closed.
Moree Regional Airport will operate as usual
Tourism Moree closed.
Ranger Services
Please call the after-hours service on 02 6757 3222 to access Ranger Services for emergencies on Friday, April 25.
Water Filling Station (Maude Street, near Depot) will continue to be available 24/7.
